Spark of Change: Fired to Forge Ahead2 min read
This was another morning (23-12-2023) and I woke all of sudden from a dream. I don’t remember the exact dream, but I can relate that is somewhat related to office work. Some mishap happened and everyone was pinning it on a single person. I stepped up to give a hand, but I have no idea I helped or made it worst 😅exactly(can’t recall) . But pretty sure I hear the word for sure. You’re fired. I was like
Along with me, couple more names have been called out and I hear more fired word around the floor. Some people appeared genuinely sad, while others were beginning to tear up, and a few seemed completely shattered. I attempted to motivate them, delivering a talk about believing in their skills, fostering confidence, and so on. However, I don’t believe I managed to lift their spirits even an inch that day.
That’s when it hit me—This is the point, I woke up realizing I lack the ability to effectively support or inspire others or lacking material.
This dream may not be particularly extraordinary, yet it served as a fuel ⛽, igniting the motivation to initiate something of my own, even if it’s on a small scale, aimed at empowering people to regain their freedom. It could take various forms, but at its core, it’s about instilling confidence in others, encouraging belief in their skills, and more. As a starting point, I plan to become more active on my blog, aiming to connect with a broader audience. (At least, that’s the hope!)
Perhaps this dream surfaced as a gentle reminder that the New Year 🎊 is just around the corner. I attempted to ask myself the following questions:
- What did I achieve in the last year?
- What goal did I set?
- Where are the results or achievements?
I did try to say myself last year, “I want to write more on my blog which I used to maintain(zingscoop)”. But it never happened.
Sometimes I wanted to help folks prepare for their coding interview “So, thats where I wrote about the coding challenging in the blog”, but i was not consistent on that as well. (coding challenges)
This year I’m setting on a mission to accomplish something and make sure I see results.
No more “I want to write ✍️ more”. I started saying “I’m gonna do weekly blogpost / newsletter” from my learnings in that week. It would mostly relate to coding, motivation, productivity etc.
There goes my goal for the upcoming year (2024).
I wish you all very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎉🎉🎉
